You Better watch out

You better watch out, you better not cry

Better not pout, I'm telling you why

Santa Claus is coming to town

He's making a list and checking it twice

Gonna find out who's naughty and nice

Santa Claus is coming to town

He sees you when you're sleeping

He knows when you're awake

He knows if you've been bad or good

So be good for goodness sake

Oh! You better watch out, you better not cry

Better not pout, I'm telling you why

Santa Claus is coming to town

Thank god you were there...

The Christmas Dinner had been concluded and my guess is there are a few sore heads this morning...Iersonally,I am blaming it on the food …it tasted too good…Just for reference the dessert was Honey Dew (Green) & Rock Melon (Orange) just so we close this one down once and for all.

It was a night of good company, good food, and not a shabby glass of Red wine or two…

For the benefit of those who weren’t there, here is a little insight on what you missed out on:

Discussions were animated regarding the Tatts on the arse…Most people agreed that it was a male and it scored well amongst the female attendants…
Offcourse, someone was reading too much that they were explicitly describing a mole on the right cheek… I haven’t been able to confirm, but feel free to prove it to yourselves ;)

From there we moved to furniture and eBay…There were quite a number of experts and after being encouraged to get my furniture from there…I was advised not to buy electrical goods, bedding or a sofa…Well that is everything I need so I guess I am going to the shops…Unless, someone is willing to find an alternative.

Now I know the next topic a few of you will wish you were there for and it was Vindictiveness101…No, I lie it was Vindictiveness Mastery…A few people have shared how to really make your lying (and maybe cheating) partner pay and continue paying for misappropriate behaviour…I think at one point Marcus Daley (the only person who is happily married…well also the only one who is married or at least was till last night) was even considering talking about the cricket and he is POM…

Others thought one-on-one council and I am sure had there been anyone passing by on Darlinghurst street thinking of cheating…they would have run home and begged for forgiveness…All I say is if you need more information please send in your request and the rate is $100 per 30 minutes advise session…Trust me what you will learn in half an hour will suffice for a life time…I am not giving the advise so you know it’s a good one…

Alas, the last topic was speed dating…and I think I have a better chance surviving a 20 storey fall or climbing Mount Everest naked…so no 8 minutes of fame for me thanks…But, really I am grateful for the help guys…I am seeking trauma counselling this morning and will report back soon once that twitch is cured…

A special thanks to CM who flew in from Adelaide and came straight out and the two C.V.E. who risked exposure by joining the E.V.E. party
Finally, wishing DD a Happy Birthday today…

Finally, I am proposing a motion for the next E.V.E. event to be drinks on Friday 15th December… if I get enough interest motion will be carried and more details will follow.

Values and Culture

Okay just a disclaimer first....
I think people who work for an organisation should be able to voice their opinions freely...I don't agree that they should be offensive and not participate to provide a solution rather than become critics to compound problems...My apologies to those who view this as C.V.E.
I have to say although I left over two months ago I still have the card that has the values infront of me on my desk at the moment (in a different organisation)...Sadly, it seems that VF-AU is losing the wrong people who lived the values and retain those who don't understand it yet they preach it....
Sorry it may seem like a dig...but its true...
Here is the evidence...

Subject: money well spent!

Dear Friends,
This email is directed to the brainiac(s) that thought it would be a great idea to waste Vodafone's money on some sh1tty temporary tatooes and to draw every one elses attention to it. I decided the most appropriate place to put them would be on my arse, that being the closest place to that from which sh1t comes.
But seriously! How does anybody justify such a waste of money? I can garantee at least 90% of the recipients (those with at least half a
brain)
threw them straight into the garbage.
Here's a suggestion for whoever thought up this gratuitous waste of money .Next time - don't bother with such crap! Put the money instead into the
Vodafone foundation, or into rewarding the real "heroes" or maybe just put it into furthering the interests of the business in some other way - project SAM perhaps?
Just a little food for thought ; )
much love to all in this wonderfull company.
sincerely,
Hagbard Celine"

It was the night before the Christmas E.V.E.

It was the night before the Christmas E.V.E. Party...and all was quite...

We have secured a location and a few willing souls...

To Rise is the destination
From Kings Cross Station
There may be stars above
And lots of food to shove

Degustation is the menu
7 courses but no emu
Frankincense, Myrrh and XXXX Gold
A Triumphant Gabba test and they called them Old

Kiwis lose by a golden point
Scotts humiliated by more than a pint
Roam without a trumpet & soon no Urn to flash
We’ll be rid of the Barmy Army & we’ll keep the Urn of Ash

See you all there.

Success and the Irish

These are approx. 40,000 mobiles being held up...at U2 concert on Sat 11/11/06

Friday night went off...there were a few apologies that were received and a few AWOL...perhaps just couldn't be asked...However, the night was declared a success by those who turned Up...LG if you may please send the photos from the night...
The Forbes was welcoming and I know that some will think it may have been a special night...There was the drunk and disorderly gentleman who started harassing TM and then moved on to DS...the guy must have been confused by DS shirt...(Sorry people if you are missing this point...you had to be there)
The remaining mystery is, is AC really Irish? Mr. C immigration may want to talk to you about your indisposition towards alcohol and your all too often early disappearances from the pubs...MD was at least drunk enough by night's end to talk up the "poms" chances at the up coming ashes tour...
Other attraction of the weekend & I am gloating still was off course U2 concert...I have to say that if anybody had doubts...let me its an experience you must do...I am attaching a few photos from the night.
I am not sure who tried to SMS me @10:30...Saying "they can't hear me" if it is anyone from E.V.E or C.V.E. apologies...and hope you can next time:)

Be good and until the next event....

PS Ideas for the next event are welcome...please send them through...

The crowd before the start of the concert

No the bald fellow wasn't me...I was taking the photo

Update Friday Night

G'day People,

Well Friday night is shaping up to be a massive affair and we have already 17 people accepted...

I thought (yes thinking did take some effort) that we should have something to distinguish the group in the pub...So I am hoping we get some form of compliance...I have high expectations from those people who are E.V.E.

I suggest that each person wears something Red...just so I am clear...make sure the Red item you wear is visible to the naked eye...not when you are about to be naked...Wearing your underpants on the outside counts...but only if you are superman/superwoman

Suggestions:
  • Shirts/T-shirts
  • Pants/Skirts
  • hats/Scarfs
  • Stockings (gents please avoid)
  • Shoes...But don't click your heels

Hope all is well and those that are at the races today or having a function...I am so jealous...

Let the Games Begin

it was a wonderfully sunny Wednesday afternoon in good old Sydney town...when 9 wonderful people decided to meet and have lunch at the "slip inn" where royalty meet glamour...Not sure if I fit in either of those categories but some of the company surely do...

There was food to be had and revelations to be made...I think I blushed once or maybe twice but you had to be there to witness...

The first lunch got on its way with Scotty in a shirt and tie (that had to be a first) and ended with Alan C stopping outside of St Patty's talking to a mate...

Nine made it to the lunch today but perhaps we should get more next time...

It is Christmas around the corner and seeing that most of those attending were not going to the Vodafone party this year...I might just try to organise one for the E.V.E. and maybe next time I'll be better prepared with a camera and a note pad...

Could it be possible that we can have more people who had once worked for VF AU than they do on the inside...

Well there is only one way to find out...Have as many people you know subscribe to this blog and lets see if we can organise a well earned drink somewhere for the Ex Voda Employees...
